One of the mightiest rivalries in the field of cricket is set to unfold at the Caribbean. Australia and England are set to lock horns in the group clash of the T20 World Cup 2024. The rivalry that began on the Ashes grounds, has snowballed into the white-ball game format too.

When the two teams hit the pitch at the Kensington Oval, they would be faced with some old World Cup memories. Because 14 years ago at the same venue the two sides clashed in the final of the 2010 World T20, which England won by seven wickets.

England coach Matthew Mott, an Australian himself, said, “Australia is a big game. It will be a fantastic contest between two very good teams”.

For the men in blue, Joffra Archer, who is returning after four years due to a long injury, would be a player to watch out for. England’s top order would be enriched by Joss Butler, who has come from a splendid stint in the IPL 2024.

For the Australian side, hopes would be pinned on the very in-form Travis Head after his swashbuckling knocks in the IPL. On the other hand, all-rounder Pat Cummins is someone the opponent has been dreading to face for his phenomenal performance in recent matches.

Australia in their last group match of the T20 World Cup 2024 against Oman. On the other hand, England had to share points with Scotland as the group match was abandoned due to bad weather. Therefore, it is all the more significant for England to get those crucial two points in the table.
