Brian played county cricket from Warwickshire and smashed 501* runs against Durham in the Vitality county championship in 1994.

This record is claimed by the slow left-arm orthodox bowler from England who played for Yorkshire Cricket Club in the Vitality County Championship. Hedley Verity holds this record for having the bowling figure of taking 10 wickets with just an expense of 10 runs in an innings; this match was played between Nottinghamshire and Yorkshire at Headley in 1932.
