In that match, three English batsmen scored centuries, while two scored half centuries, and the rest were dismissed early. Leonard Hutton played an innings of 364 runs, and the most interesting fact is he opened for England and stayed on the pitch throughout the innings. Followed by Maurice Leyland’s 187 and Joe Hardstaff’s 169*.

In the ODI format, a giant total of 498 was scored against the Netherlands in the Amstelveen Stadium on 17th June 2022. The captain of the England cricket team was Eoin Morgan, who got a duck in that match unfortunately, while Jos Buttler, the current captain of the white ball cricket team, played a sensational knock of 162* runs. Along with him, David Malan and Phil Salt scored centuries at the initial stage of the inning, contributing 122 and 125 runs, respectively, and finished explosively with Liam Livinstone’s 66 not out.

In the T20I format, English batsmen became a beast when they put up a total of 267 runs against the West Indies in the year 2023. December 19th. Phil Salt played an explosive innings of 119 runs. Along with him, Jos Buttler supported him to put up a big total by smashing a half century and later continued destruction by Liam Livingstone, scoring 51 crucial runs to contribute to this record-breaking total.

In Test cricket, England played its ashes series against Australia in 1938, when the English athletes managed to grab a huge victory against the Aussies of 579 runs and an innings. That was also the match in which England scored its highest total, and Lenard Hutton remained the highest individual best scorer for England even after eight decades.

In the ODI format, once again the Ashes rivals played against each other, and England scored one of the highest totals in ODI. Australia lost the match by a margin of 242 runs, which was not even half of what English cricketers made. This match took place on 19th June 2018, in Nottingham.

In the shortest white ball format, T20. West Indies lost its second match of the T20 series against England by 137 runs as they were not even able to cross the score of 50. West Indies was only able to make 45 runs where they got all out and had a target of 182 to chase.

Alistair Cook holds the record for being in fifth position in the world for making most runs for his team in Test cricket, and Joe Root, who has recently picked up great form, is also in that list at number seven.

Whereas in bowling, James Anderson is the most legendary bowler in the world. He completed his 700 international wickets record in the Test Match; his last match was against the West Indies, where he retired from all forms of cricket.
