“Picking up injuries as a professional sportsman is always frustrating and I was gutted to miss the hundred this year! One thing it does force you to do though is stop and after what’s been a very busy period of life both on and off the pitch, it’s been amazing to spend so much quality time with the people most important to me! I’m really grateful to have such an incredible family and love doing life together ❤️”

Notably, Jos Buttler hasn’t played for Lancashire this year but he could play his first game for the side from next month. However, his return and participation in the tournament will depend on his fitness Test.
Lancashire coach Dale Benkenstein provided a big update on this matter, stating that Buttler is eager to play and the team management will decide on his participation in the tournament at the last moment. He said:
Speaking to ESPNCricinfo, Dale Benkenstein said: “That’s looking really positive. We should have everyone fit for the quarter-finals. Jos has been doing a lot of rehab. I’ve been in contact with him and he’s very keen to play. We are happy to leave it down to the last day.”
He added: “He’ll do a fitness test on the Monday, just before the game and with the England physios and everyone giving him the green light, then he’ll play. We are very keen that if he’s fit and ready to go then he’ll be playing.”
Following the conclusion of the T20 Blast, Jos Buttler will return to play for the England cricket team in the upcoming T20I series against the mighty Australians.
