Third time in history, in the county cricket, every match ended as a draw. None of the nine matches had a winner.

It had last happened in September 2019, while the first instance was in September 1994. There were some fascinating performances of batting, and few teams managed to overcome the neck-to-neck competition.

Surrey tried their best to achieve the challenging target set to them by Somerset, but their attempt was not enough. Surrey and Somerset shook hands five overs before the termination of the match.

Kent and Essex also ended with a draw as Kent paid tribute to former player Derek Underwood in a memorable manner. Essex could claim only a single wicket in three sessions while Kent batsmen played 105 overs.

Debutant Jaydn Denly was successful in scoring 38 with 145 deliveries allowing the other batsmen to have the confidence to enter single figures as he batted over forty in the fourth inning.

Meanwhile, Ollie Price and James Bracey were stars in defending the Gloucestershire team against Yorkshire.

They both scored centuries for partnership allowing the team to claim two bonus points. Matthew Potts of Durham was also a great barrier to Warwickshire in their quest to win the match.

They played for 61.4 overs to achieve a first-class hundred. The matches at Grace Road, Wantage Road, and Trent Bridge, however, faced weather interruptions. This round saw 10 instances of batsmen scoring more than 150 which is the highest figure. In the next fixture, the ball will once again be the Dukes as it returns to help the pacers.
