<p>Australia had won the T20 World Cup title for the last 3 consecutive times and became the T20 World Champion 6 times in total, but now South Africa has eliminated it and made it to the final for the second time in a row.</p>
<h2>SA vs AUS: match overview</h2>
<p>A shocking result has been seen in the Women&#8217;s T20 World Cup 2024 being played in the UAE. South Africa crushed the defending champion Australia by 8 wickets in a one-sided manner in the first semi-final of the tournament.</p>
<figure id="attachment_2489" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-2489" style="width: 1200px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-2489" src="https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/South-Africa-ICC-Womens-T20-World-Cup-Team.webp" alt="SA vs AUS: SA Steals The Victory Against Mighty Aussies " width="1200" height="675" srcset="https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/South-Africa-ICC-Womens-T20-World-Cup-Team.webp 1200w, https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/South-Africa-ICC-Womens-T20-World-Cup-Team-300x169.webp 300w, https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/South-Africa-ICC-Womens-T20-World-Cup-Team-1024x576.webp 1024w, https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/South-Africa-ICC-Womens-T20-World-Cup-Team-768x432.webp 768w, https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/South-Africa-ICC-Womens-T20-World-Cup-Team-150x84.webp 150w, https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/South-Africa-ICC-Womens-T20-World-Cup-Team-696x392.webp 696w, https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/South-Africa-ICC-Womens-T20-World-Cup-Team-1068x601.webp 1068w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-2489" class="wp-caption-text">SA vs AUS: SA Steals The Victory Against Mighty Aussies</figcaption></figure>
<p>With this, South Africa made history by making it to the final by eliminating Australia from the World Cup. On the strength of its strong bowling, South Africa stopped 6-time champion and 3-time consecutive title winner Australia for just 134 runs.</p>
<p>After this, on the basis of excellent innings of Anneka Bosch (74 not out) and captain Laura Woolwart (42), South Africa won the match in the 18th over itself and also avenged their defeat in last year&#8217;s World Cup final against Australia.</p>
<h2>Amazing performance of bowlers, Bosch became the real &#8216;boss&#8217; again</h2>
<p>In the first semi-final match of the World Cup played in Dubai, the Australian team once again came without its captain Alyssa Healy, who was injured in the league match against Pakistan.</p>
<figure id="attachment_2497" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-2497" style="width: 1280px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="wp-image-2497 size-full" src="https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/389280.webp" alt="SA vs AUS: SA Steals The Victory Against Mighty Aussies " width="1280" height="853" srcset="https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/389280.webp 1280w, https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/389280-300x200.webp 300w, https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/389280-1024x682.webp 1024w, https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/389280-768x512.webp 768w, https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/389280-150x100.webp 150w, https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/389280-696x464.webp 696w, https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/389280-1068x712.webp 1068w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1280px) 100vw, 1280px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-2497" class="wp-caption-text">SA vs AUS: SA Steals The Victory Against Mighty Aussies</figcaption></figure>
<p>Its effect was once again clearly visible in Australia&#8217;s batting. The team failed to bat fast in the powerplay.</p>
<p>Opener Beth Mooney played an innings of 44 runs but her innings was also very slow, while captain Tahlia McGrath could score only 27 runs in 33 balls. On the basis of fast innings of Alice Perry and Phoebe Litchfield, the Australian team was able to reach 134 runs.</p>
<figure id="attachment_2495" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-2495" style="width: 1280px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="wp-image-2495 size-full" src="https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/389273.webp" alt="SA vs AUS: SA Steals The Victory Against Mighty Aussies " width="1280" height="996" srcset="https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/389273.webp 1280w, https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/389273-300x233.webp 300w, https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/389273-1024x797.webp 1024w, https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/389273-768x598.webp 768w, https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/389273-150x117.webp 150w, https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/389273-696x542.webp 696w, https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/389273-1068x831.webp 1068w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1280px) 100vw, 1280px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-2495" class="wp-caption-text">SA vs AUS: SA Steals The Victory Against Mighty Aussies</figcaption></figure>
<p>For South Africa, star all-rounder Marizanne Kapp (1/24) once again bowled brilliantly, while on the other hand, pacer Ayabonga Khaka (2/24) was also not far behind. Apart from these, spinners Chloe Tryon and N Malaba also controlled the pace of runs, which prevented their team from getting a big target.</p>
<figure id="attachment_2498" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-2498" style="width: 1280px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="wp-image-2498 size-full" src="https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/389281.webp" alt="SA vs AUS: SA Steals The Victory Against Mighty Aussies " width="1280" height="853" srcset="https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/389281.webp 1280w, https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/389281-300x200.webp 300w, https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/389281-1024x682.webp 1024w, https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/389281-768x512.webp 768w, https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/389281-150x100.webp 150w, https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/389281-696x464.webp 696w, https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/389281-1068x712.webp 1068w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1280px) 100vw, 1280px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-2498" class="wp-caption-text">SA vs AUS: SA Steals The Victory Against Mighty Aussies</figcaption></figure>
<p>Although South Africa also lost the wicket of opener Tazmin Brits in the fourth over, but then captain Woolwart and Bosch made a memorable partnership and ensured the victory of the team.</p>
<p>Together, they made an excellent partnership of 96 runs. Bosch stayed till the end and returned to lead the team to victory with an innings of 74 runs in just 48 balls.</p>
<h2>Australia failed in SA vs AUS Semi Final after playing 7 consecutive finals</h2>
<p>With this, South Africa succeeded in defeating Australia for the first time in the T20 World Cup and also avenged the defeat in last year&#8217;s T20 World Cup final.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-2494" src="https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/389272.webp" alt="SA vs AUS: SA Steals The Victory Against Mighty Aussies " width="1280" height="913" srcset="https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/389272.webp 1280w, https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/389272-300x214.webp 300w, https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/389272-1024x730.webp 1024w, https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/389272-768x548.webp 768w, https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/389272-150x107.webp 150w, https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/389272-696x496.webp 696w, https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/389272-1068x762.webp 1068w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1280px) 100vw, 1280px" /></p>
<p>While the South African team has reached the final for the second consecutive time, the Australian team, which has been playing the final for the last 7 consecutive World Cups and has won the title 6 times, got eliminated in the semi-finals for the first time in 15 years.</p>
<p>Earlier, the team could not reach the final in the first World Cup played in 2009. After this, the team won the next 3 consecutive World Cups, while in 2016 it lost to West Indies in the final. After this, this team again won the title 3 times in a row but now the team could not even reach the final.</p>

<p>The Australian women’s cricket team has shown great skill in this tournament. With new captain Alyssa Healy, they have kept up the success from the previous captain, Meg Lanning.</p>
<p>Australia won all four of their matches in Group A. They started strong with a six-wicket win against Sri Lanka, followed by a big 60-run win over New Zealand. They also beat Pakistan and India, winning by nine wickets and nine runs, respectively.</p>
<p>However, Australia has some injury problems before the semi-finals. Captain Healy missed the match against India, and fast bowler Tayla Vlaeminck cannot play for the rest of the tournament. Despite these issues, Australia is still a strong team, having won the last three ICC Women’s T20 World Cups.</p>

<p>New Zealand is the second team from Group A to reach the semi-finals. They started the tournament with a great 58-run win over India but lost to Australia by 60 runs.</p>
<p>Still, the Black Ferns bounced back with two wins in a row, defeating <a href="https://srilankacricket.lk/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Sri Lanka</a> by eight wickets and Pakistan by 54 runs, securing their spot in the knockout stages of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024.</p>

<h2>NZ W vs PAK W, New Zealand&#8217;s bowler&#8217;s brilliance</h2>
<p>New Zealand made it to the semi-finals by defeating Pakistan by 54 runs in the Group A match of the Women&#8217;s T20 World Cup. In this way, along with Pakistan, India&#8217;s journey also ended in the group stage of this tournament.</p>
<p>New Zealand, who came to bat after winning the toss, scored 110 runs for six wickets in 20 overs. In response, the entire Pakistan team was reduced to 56 runs in 11.4 overs. Like India and New Zealand, Pakistan was also in the race to make it to the next round.</p>

<p>If the Pakistan team had achieved the target of 111 runs in 10.4 overs, it could have made it to the semi-finals, but the team lost the match.</p>
<p>The New Zealand team reached the semi-finals for the first time since 2016<br />
This match was very important for India. Pakistan&#8217;s victory could have taken India to the semi-finals.</p>
<figure id="attachment_2449" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-2449" style="width: 1280px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="wp-image-2449 size-full" src="https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/389090.webp" alt="NZ W vs PAK W: IND Out Of WC With The PAK's Defeat" width="1280" height="853" srcset="https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/389090.webp 1280w, https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/389090-300x200.webp 300w, https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/389090-1024x682.webp 1024w, https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/389090-768x512.webp 768w, https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/389090-150x100.webp 150w, https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/389090-696x464.webp 696w, https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/389090-1068x712.webp 1068w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1280px) 100vw, 1280px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-2449" class="wp-caption-text">NZ W vs PAK W: IND Out Of WC With The PAK&#8217;s Defeat</figcaption></figure>
<p>Australia had already reached the semi-finals by winning all four matches from Group A, while there was a competition between New Zealand, India, and Pakistan for second place. India had four points with two wins and two losses in two matches and before this match, its net run rate was better than New Zealand.</p>
<p>If New Zealand had lost this match, it would have also had four points along with Pakistan and India and the second semi-finalist would have been decided on the basis of net run rate. India would have entered the last four due to a better net run rate.</p>
<p>However, New Zealand defeated Pakistan, which led to six points with three wins and one loss in four matches and it entered the last four. This is the first time since 2016 that the New Zealand team has made it to the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup.</p>
<h2>Pakistan&#8217;s poor batting in NZ W vs PAK W</h2>
<p>While chasing the target against New Zealand, Pakistan got off to a bad start and lost five wickets in the powerplay itself. Pakistan lost five wickets for 28 runs in the first six overs. Pakistan lost the first wicket in the form of Alia Riaz (0).</p>

<p>After this Maniba Ali (15), Sadaf Shamas (2) and Iram Javed (3), and Sidra Amin (0) also returned to the pavilion cheaply. Pakistan&#8217;s team was never in a good position while chasing the target and kept losing wickets at regular intervals.</p>
<figure id="attachment_2447" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-2447" style="width: 1280px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="wp-image-2447 size-full" src="https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/389073.webp" alt="NZ W vs PAK W: IND Out Of WC With The PAK's Defeat" width="1280" height="853" srcset="https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/389073.webp 1280w, https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/389073-300x200.webp 300w, https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/389073-1024x682.webp 1024w, https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/389073-768x512.webp 768w, https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/389073-150x100.webp 150w, https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/389073-696x464.webp 696w, https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/389073-1068x712.webp 1068w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1280px) 100vw, 1280px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-2447" class="wp-caption-text">NZ W vs PAK W: IND Out Of WC With The PAK&#8217;s Defeat</figcaption></figure>
<p>For Pakistan, captain Fatima Sana scored the highest 21 runs in 23 balls. Only two of its batsmen could reach double figures, while five batsmen could not even open the account. For New Zealand, Amelia Kerr took three wickets and Eden Carson took two wickets, while Rosemary Mayer, Lea Tahuhu, and Fran Jones took one wicket each.</p>
<h2>New Zealand failed to capitalize on the good start in NZ W vs PAK W</h2>
<p>Earlier, New Zealand won the toss and chose to bat first in the group stage match of the Women&#8217;s T20 World Cup against Pakistan. Georgia Plimer came out to open the innings with Suzie Bates for New Zealand.</p>
<p>Both these batsmen gave the team a strong start against Pakistan and did not let the opposing team get success during the powerplay. New Zealand scored 39 runs without any loss in the first six overs.</p>
<figure id="attachment_2446" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-2446" style="width: 1280px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="wp-image-2446 size-full" src="https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/389075.webp" alt="NZ W vs PAK W: IND Out Of WC With The PAK's Defeat" width="1280" height="853" srcset="https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/389075.webp 1280w, https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/389075-300x200.webp 300w, https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/389075-1024x682.webp 1024w, https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/389075-768x512.webp 768w, https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/389075-150x100.webp 150w, https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/389075-696x464.webp 696w, https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/389075-1068x712.webp 1068w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1280px) 100vw, 1280px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-2446" class="wp-caption-text">NZ W vs PAK W: IND Out Of WC With The PAK&#8217;s Defeat</figcaption></figure>
<p>However, after the powerplay, New Zealand got the first setback in the form of Plimer. Plimer was playing a good partnership with Suzie Bates, but Sandhu broke this partnership by dismissing Plimer.</p>
<p>Plimer returned to the pavilion after scoring 17 runs off 14 balls. After this, New Zealand&#8217;s innings faltered and it also lost the wickets of Bates and Kerr. After the first setback, New Zealand&#8217;s innings could not recover and Pakistan&#8217;s bowlers prevented New Zealand from scoring a big score.</p>
<figure id="attachment_2443" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-2443" style="width: 1280px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="wp-image-2443 size-full" src="https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/389074.webp" alt="NZ W vs PAK W: IND Out Of WC With The PAK's Defeat" width="1280" height="853" srcset="https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/389074.webp 1280w, https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/389074-300x200.webp 300w, https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/389074-1024x682.webp 1024w, https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/389074-768x512.webp 768w, https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/389074-150x100.webp 150w, https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/389074-696x464.webp 696w, https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/389074-1068x712.webp 1068w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1280px) 100vw, 1280px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-2443" class="wp-caption-text">NZ W vs PAK W: IND Out Of WC With The PAK&#8217;s Defeat</figcaption></figure>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Suzie Bates scored the highest 28 runs for New Zealand, while Brooke Halliday played an innings of 22 runs. Nashra Sandhu bowled brilliantly for Pakistan and took three wickets for 18 runs in four overs.</p>

<p>Despite losing against Australia, Team India is still in the race for the semi-finals. Even if the Kiwi team loses in the New Zealand vs Pakistan match, the Indian team will easily make it to the semi-finals. However, it is very difficult for Pakistan to win that match.</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>With this win, England has strengthened their hopes of reaching the semi-finals. At the same time, Scotland departed with their fourth consecutive defeat. The difference between the batting of England and Scotland can be understood from the fact that the English batsmen blew away 19 fours in 10 overs.</p>
<figure id="attachment_2407" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-2407" style="width: 1280px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="wp-image-2407 size-full" src="https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/388981.webp" alt="ENG W vs SCO W: ENG Secures 10 Wk Win Like A Cakewalk" width="1280" height="886" srcset="https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/388981.webp 1280w, https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/388981-300x208.webp 300w, https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/388981-1024x709.webp 1024w, https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/388981-768x532.webp 768w, https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/388981-150x104.webp 150w, https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/388981-218x150.webp 218w, https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/388981-696x482.webp 696w, https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/388981-1068x739.webp 1068w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1280px) 100vw, 1280px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-2407" class="wp-caption-text">ENG W vs SCO W: ENG Secures 10 Wk Win Like A Cakewalk</figcaption></figure>
<p>The Scottish team could hit only seven fours in their 20 overs. Batting first, Scotland could only score 109 runs for six wickets in 20 overs. They had a long batting line-up but English spinner Sophie Ecclestone&#8217;s strong bowling ruined their plans.</p>
<p>This spin bowler took two wickets for 13 runs in four overs. Apart from them, four bowlers got one success each. Bryce&#8217;s sisters Sarah and Katherine played useful innings for Scotland but the team could not reach a winning score. Sarah scored 27 runs in 31 balls and Katherine scored 33 runs in 28 balls.</p>
<h2>England&#8217;s openers rocked in ENG W vs SCO W</h2>
<p>In response, England&#8217;s openers Maya Busier and Danni Wyatt scored unbeaten half-centuries. Both scored runs at a stormy pace, which also boosted the English team&#8217;s net run rate. Busier started the innings with fours.</p>
<figure id="attachment_2405" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-2405" style="width: 1200px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="wp-image-2405 size-full" src="https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/IRANI-CUP-34.jpg" alt="ENG W vs SCO W: ENG Secures 10 Wk Win Like A Cakewalk" width="1200" height="675" srcset="https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/IRANI-CUP-34.jpg 1200w, https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/IRANI-CUP-34-300x169.jpg 300w, https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/IRANI-CUP-34-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/IRANI-CUP-34-768x432.jpg 768w, https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/IRANI-CUP-34-150x84.jpg 150w, https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/IRANI-CUP-34-696x392.jpg 696w, https://cricketcounty.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/IRANI-CUP-34-1068x601.jpg 1068w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-2405" class="wp-caption-text">ENG W vs SCO W: ENG Secures 10 Wk Win Like A Cakewalk</figcaption></figure>
<p>She also got a lifeline in the beginning and she took full advantage of it. She remained unbeaten after scoring 62 runs in 34 balls with 12 fours. Danny faced 26 balls and scored an unbeaten 51 runs with the help of seven fours. None of the Scottish bowlers&#8217; moves worked against the attacks of these two.</p>
<h2>England reached the top</h2>
<p>England was in third place before winning this match. To beat South Africa in net run rate, it had to win before 11.5 overs. To beat West Indies, it had to win in 9.3 overs. Now it has reached the first place but West Indies is above it in net run rate.</p>
