Jordan Buckingham, the Australian fast bowler, has joined the Yorkshire County Cricket Club for a four-match stint in the Rothesay County Championship in May 2025. Regarding his welcome, Gavin Hamilton, the general manager of cricket, said, ” Jordan is highly rated by South Australia, both as a player and a person, and will provide us with more depth in the bowling department. Everyone at Yorkshire CCC is delighted Jordan has signed and we’re looking forward to welcoming him to Headingley in April.”
Head Coach Anthony McGrath also shared his excitement, “It’s great to have Jordan sign for us for this period of the season. With four really key fixtures before we hit the white ball games, I know he will impact our squad in a really positive manner.”

Jordan Buckingham has already played a stint with Yorkshire in the past and is eyeing a return to England. There couldn’t have been a better opportunity than this. He also shared his enthusiasm and shared, ” There is no bigger county than Yorkshire so I’m incredibly excited to get started in April. There are some key fixtures in that period and I’m looking forward to helping the guys out.
“The squad has taken shape nicely and looks strong. I know I can add a little extra something to the bowling lineup when I get over to the UK,” he added

The 24-year-old bowler, Jordan Buckingham is known for his right-arm fast-medium bowling. He has made a significant impact in first-class cricket at such a young age. He debuted in May 2022 and has taken 84 wickets in a total of 23 matches. He also represented Australia A and Prime Minister’s XI in 2023, gaining previous experience in county cricket.
His personal best of 7 wickets for 71 runs for South Australia against Tasmania in 2023. He also recently took four wickets for 41 runs against England Lions in February 2025. Jordan Buckingham was named in the 2023-24 Marsh One-Day Cup team of the tournament for his excellent performance in the tournament, taking nine wickets in three matches.
