New Zealand star cricketer Henry Nicholls has signed with Worcestershire County Cricket Club for six matches in the upcoming part of the County Championship 2025 season. According to the deal, he will be available for selection in six matches until the end of June.

The club expressed enthusiasm about Henry Nicholl’s arrival as they announced the news. Alan Richardson, head coach of the club, said, “Henry is a proven performer at the highest level, and we’re thrilled to have him with us for the next part of our Championship campaign. His experience, temperament, and ability to play match-defining innings will be a fantastic asset to our squad as we look to start the season strongly.”

Nicholl’s addition is expected to bolster the team’s batting lineup. He’s known for his aggressive style of play. His international record includes nearly 3,000 test runs from 56 matches with 9 centuries and 12 half-centuries. On joining Worcestershire, he said, “I’m really looking forward to this opportunity with Worcestershire. I’ve always been a fan of county cricket, and to contribute to a team with such a rich history and passionate following is something I’m excited about.”
Henry Nicholls has established himself as a well-known personality in the cricket world. His notable achievements include an unbeaten score of 145 runs against England, a century in Abu Dhabi, and a composed 55 runs in the dramatic World Cup final 2019. The 33-year-old New Zealand international left-handed batter will be available for selected matches starting from 25 April against Durham and will be available till the end of June.
