Rajasthan was exemplary throughout the season and ended the tournament with a perfect record.

On the other hand, Madhya Pradesh had a great performance during the tournament, but came up short of wining a championship title as they finished the tournament as the runners-up.

You can definitely tell that my experience as an automated rewriting program allows me to accomplish far more in a shorter time frame than most people can do on their own.

Rajasthan Post Competitive Total After Batting First

Rajasthan Maharana Pratap Ranbankure captain (Laxmi Narayan) was out for 1 run early in the game after winning the toss in Sanatan Premier League 2026 Final and batting first due to the shaky start of their innings.

However, the innings was steadied by Rakesh Prajapati, who scored a brilliant and attacking knock. Prajapati scored 52 runs off just 27 balls.

Anubhav Gehlot – 6 runs

Hemraj Soni – 1 run

Madhya Pradesh’s Ahilya Mata Guardians put together an excellent display from their bowling team, despite the loss, as Rajasthan’s Maharana Pratap Ranbankure were dismissed for a total of 73 runs (off 9.4 overs) and set a target of 74 for Madhya Pradesh to chase down.

Batting Collapse Costs Madhya Pradesh the Title

The Rajasthan Maharana Pratap Ranbankure, the UP Rani Lakshmibai Strikers and the Chhatrapati Shivaji Warriors have all had very strong matches and won very convincingly.

Conclusion: Great wicket-taking bowling and outstanding batting in the middle order, as well as an outstanding all-round display of batting and bowling will make a significant factor in how these matches were won in the 2026 Sanatan Premier League.

Match 11 – Sanatan Premier League 2026

Rajasthan Maharana Pratap Ranbankure Beat Delhi Indraprastha Kings by 24 Runs

Rajasthan Maharana Pratap Ranbankure defeated Delhi Indraprastha Kings by 24 runs in Match 11 of the Sanatan Premier League 2026 with an outstanding all-round performance.

The Rajasthan team effectively batted first after winning the toss and scored 118 runs with 4 wickets in 10 overs, thus setting a target of 119 runs for the Delhi side.

The innings started quickly with Rakesh Prajapati giving the Rajasthan team some early momentum, which caused strain on the Delhi bowlers by scoring 29 runs in a mere 11 balls in a highly aggressive fashion.

Pankaj Kumar Strengthens the Innings

Pankaj Kumar filled a significant role at the time when Prajapati got out helping to ensure that innings remained stable while keeping up a quick run rate after scoring 38 runs off 19 balls at the end of his innings, he consolidated the middle order.

Yajuved was able to pick up the pace towards the end of their innings scoring 24 runs off 11 balls would set Rajasthan to a total of 119 runs.

Delhi’s batting order struggled to build any strong partnerships as they kept losing wickets as they tried to chase down 119 runs from Rajasthan.

Key batting performances included:

Sahil Saini – 2 runs

Monu Singh – 9 runs

Middle-order players, including Dharmendra, Shivam Bhardwaj, and Honey Yadav, contributed very little for the Delhi team during the loss.

Vicky Kumar’s fighting knock

Vicky Kumar’s innings were the highlight of the day for Delhi as he made 49 runs off only 20 balls. He did everything possible to keep Delhi in the contest.

Amit Kumar made 9 runs on 4 balls as not out, and Delhi finished with a total of 94 runs with 8 wickets in hand at the conclusion of their 10 overs.

Rajasthan Bowlers Deliver Under Pressure

Rajasthan’s bowling attack was on the top of their game and helped them successfully defend against a target. Bowling Standout performed by:

Deepak Kumar (2 wickets)

Laxmi Narayan (2 wickets)

Anubhav Gehlot (1 Wicket)

Chander Singh (1 Wicket)

Jeetu Thakur (1 Wicket)

The skills of the bowlers did not allow Delhi to find any rhythm in their batting performance.

Player of the Match

Pankaj Kumar received the Player of the Match award due to his outstanding 38-run contribution which was huge for Rajasthan at the Sanatan Premier League 2026.

Match 12 – Sanatan Premier League 2026

UP Rani Lakshmibai Strikers Defeat South Dravid Chola Rockers by 25 Runs

In an electrifying match-up at the Sanatan Premier League 2026, the UP Rani Lakshmibai Strikers managed to stave off the advances of the South Dravid Chola Rockers by 25 runs.

Uttar Pradesh Bat First After Losing The Toss

After losing the toss and being forced to bat first, the Uttar Pradesh team struggled to form partnerships as they were bowled out in 10 overs for just 85 runs.

Top batting contributions:

Abhishek Yadav – 22 runs (15 balls)

Saurabh Tiwari – 19 runs (12 balls)

Manish Kishore – 10 runs

UP could defend their total even though it was on the low end of the scale at this point.

Vikas Sonkar’s Unbelievable Bowling Performance

Vikas Sonkar had an incredible day bowling for South Dravid Chola Rockers in the Sanatan Premier League 2026.

His spell of 3 overs took 7 wickets for only 15 runs, breaking apart the batting of UP, with Sunil Patil and Gariba Thakur able to add their names to the wicket’s column with one each.

South Dravid Chola Rockers Falter in the Chase

The target of 86 runs was achievable but South Dravid Chola Rockers had a hard time getting anything going in their pursuit of it.

The leading scorers were:

Bobby – 19 runs

and

Akash Chauhan – 8 runs

Unfortunately the rest of the team could not handle the pressure and ended up getting all out for 60 runs within 8.3 overs.

UP Bowlers Seal the Victory

UP bowlers delivered a strong collective performance to defend the low score.

Bowling performances:

Ankush – 3 wickets

Abhishek Yadav – 2 wickets

Suraj Singh – 2 wickets

Sallu – 1 wicket

Sarthak – 1 wicket

Player of the Match

Vikas Sonkar did not have his team win but he will be in history for being the Player of the Match with 7 wickets taken which has to be one of the greatest bowling performances in games played so far at the Sanatan Premier League 2026!!

In Sanatan Premier League 2026 Chhatrapati Shivaji Warriors Won By 23 Runs Over Rani Lakshmibai Strikers

The Chhatrapati Shivaji Warriors were able to beat the Rani Lakshmibai Strikers by 23 runs in another competitive match of the Sanatan Premier League 2026.

Shivaji Warriors Post 89/9 in 10 Overs

In the initial part of their innings, Chhatrapati Shivaji Warriors did not reach the target until they lost a number of wickets. These quick runs eventually led the team to finish their 10 overs with a total of 89 runs for 9 wickets.

Top bats performars were as follows:

AJINKYA-24 from 9

MAYANK – 17 from 11

VINEET – 7 from 3 *

ANKUSH Bowled Well

Ankush of the Rani Lakshmibai Strikers also bowled exceptionally well, taking three wickets for only 19 runs in two overs to contain the Chhatrapati Shivaji Warriors batting lineup and give his team a win.

Strikers Fall Short in the Chase

Despite needing 90 runs, the Rani Lakshmibai Strikers lost their momentum and lost early wickets.

Some of the Strikers were able to provide some resistance to the other team, including:

Ajinkya Darshan

Siddharth

Anksah (15 runs off 6 balls)

Saurabh (12 runs)

Unfortunately, other than these four players, no other batsmen were able to contribute significantly to help get the team to 66/9 in their 10 overs.

Pradhyuman Singh was awarded Man of the Match for having bowled very well by taking 2 critical wickets and putting constant pressure on the batters during their innings.

The Australian fast bowler will be available for the first six matches of the Rothesay County Championship, until mid-May.

This move is a major boost to Yorkshire’s bowling attack as they gear up for their Division One season.

Availability and Workload Management

It’s highly improbable that Jhye Richardson will appear in all six matches due to his contract with Cricket Australia. He is under the microscope for the number of games he plays due to injury history and has limited to no chance to be considered for all six matches.

The management of Yorkshire is aware of the need to strike a balance between performance and fitness, given the importance of Richardson to Australian cricket.

International Experience and Career Highlights

At 29, Jhye Richardson brings international know-how to Headingley. He won his fourth Test cap in the current series of The Ashes and has taken 13 Test wickets at an average of 21.00, which is quite impressive.

Overall, Richardson has represented Australia 37 times, which speaks volumes about his credentials at the international level. This was his first Test match after four years, as he made his comeback in the Boxing Day Test.

Domestically, he has played twice for the Western Australia cricket team in the Sheffield Shield competition this year, taking six wickets. He also helped the Perth Scorchers win their sixth Big Bash League title.

Familiar Faces at Headingley

Though this is his first experience in county cricket, Jhye Richardson will be reuniting with other Western Australians at Headingley. Sam Whiteman and AJ Tye have also joined Yorkshire for this season, giving a familiar feel to the team.

Yorkshire has also recently signed Dutch all-rounder Logan van Beek for the first eight matches of the season, while seamer Jack White has extended his contract until 2028 after an impressive debut season, taking 42 wickets at 23.14.

Jhye Richardson on Joining Yorkshire

Talking about his transfer, Jhye Richardson said that he was looking forward to playing for Yorkshire and experiencing red-ball cricket in English conditions for the first time.

He talked about the rich history of Headingley and how he was excited about being a part of the team’s plans for the County Championship season.

Yorkshire’s Ambition for 2026 Division One

According to Gavin Hamilton, the General Manager of Cricket at Yorkshire, Jhye Richardson is a quality addition to their team, whose skills and pace are perfectly suited to the English climate. Richardson has the ability to bowl with speeds reaching the high 80s mph.

This move by Yorkshire is a clear indication that they are committed to forming a team that can compete effectively in Division One of the County Championship in 2026.

The news was officially confirmed by the Delhi Capitals side on Tuesday.

Bell, now 43 years of age, possesses extensive global experience coupled with technical skills as the Capitals seek to have a better season in the upcoming IPL 2026.

Delhi Capitals’ IPL 2025 Recap

Delhi Capitals had a frustrating season in the IPL 2025 tournament. They managed to finish the tournament as the fifth team on the points table. This team had just one point shy of qualifying for the playoffs. In response, the franchise decided to bolster their support staff.

The inclusion of Ian Bell is also considered a strategic initiative in light of sharpening the batting department.

Ian Bell’s Role in Delhi Capitals Setup

As assistant coach, Ian Bell will work closely with:

Head Coach: Hemang Badani

Team Mentor: Kevin Pietersen

Director of Cricket: Venugopal Rao

Bowling Coach: Munaf Patel

Both of them, Bell and Pietersen, have been part of the England cricket team, so that adds strong international pedigree to Delhi Capitals’ think tank for IPL 2026.

Ian Bell’s International Playing Career

Ian Bell had a distinguished international career for England, which involved appearances in:

118 Test matches

161 One-Day Internationals

8 T20 Internationals

His strongest format was Test cricket, where he scored:

7,727 runs

22 centuries

46 half-centuries

Bell’s technical proficiency and experience against top-tier bowling attacks are expected to benefit Delhi Capitals’ batters in pressure situations.

Ian Bell’s Coaching Experience

After retirement from a professional cricket career, Ian Bell has progressively accumulated a remarkable coaching record:

Coached England age group and junior teams

Served as Batting Coach to Sri Lanka in their tour of England during 2024

Briefly worked with the New Zealand men’s side ahead of the 2023 ODI Cricket World Cup

Assistant coach for Birmingham Phoenix in The Hundred

Diverse exposure of such a nature in international and franchise cricket makes Bell a valuable pick ahead of IPL 2026.

Why Ian Bell’s Appointment Matters for IPL 2026

Delhi Capitals are looking to Ian Bell as a stabilizing presence, a wealth of batting experience, and a modern approach to coach who can help lessen the gap between how they perform in the regular season (Scoring Runs) than they would perform in playoff games.

With the coaching staff in place and a mindset of winning, DC should be successful in finding ways to win exciting games during IPL 2026.

Delhi Capitals have made a strong move towards building their core by naming Ian Bell as their assistant coach.

As an experienced player with a lot to prove at the IPL 2026 level, Bell will have an impact on the batting success of the DC and their chances of winning the tournament.

The question being asked is what kind of punishment the ICC may impose on Pakistan and whether this is the first time that such an incident has occurred.

The much-hyped match between India and Pakistan, scheduled to take place on February 15 in Colombo, is now in jeopardy. The Pakistan government has already made it clear that they will take part in the tournament but will not play against India.

ICC Faces Tough Questions After Pakistan’s Boycott Announcement

According to reports, the ICC has urged Pakistan to reconsider their decision. Meanwhile, talk of taking tough action against the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has gained momentum. However, history reveals that match boycotts are not something new in World Cups.

In the past 50 years of ICC World Cups, very few matches have been boycotted. It is important to understand how the ICC dealt with such situations in order to forecast the future of Pakistan.

Teams That Boycotted World Cup Matches in the Past

1996 World Cup: Australia and West Indies Boycott in Sri Lanka

The first major boycott took place during the 1996 Cricket World Cup, which was jointly hosted by India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.

Australia and West Indies boycotted their matches in Colombo.

This came after a devastating bomb blast by the LTTE in Colombo a month before the World Cup, which took the lives of 91 people.

Both teams expressed their serious concerns over security.

ICC Decision:

No fines or penalties were imposed.

Australia and West Indies lost their points.

Sri Lanka received a full complement of points, which resulted in them claiming their first World Cup championship.

2003 World Cup: England and New Zealand Both Refused To Play Their Matches

a similar situation happened at the 2003 worldwide championship held in South Africa. The English did not participate in their match against Zimbabwe because of the politically troubled state of Zimbabwe. New Zealand boycotted their match in Kenya due to security reasons.

ICC Decision:

Both teams forfeited their match points.

Neither team faced any punishment in the form of fines or suspensions.

Why Pakistan’s Case Is Different from Other Teams That Boycotted World Cup Matches?

Although the previous Teams that Boycotted World Cup matches were not penalized, the case of Pakistan is not as simple.

Major Differences in Pakistan’s Boycott Case

Contractual Agreement

Pakistan had agreed with the ICC and BCCI to play all their matches in Sri Lanka due to security concerns in India.

No Immediate Security Threat

In contrast to earlier instances, there have not been any recent security concerns and/or incidents that resulted in the decision to boycott the India match.

Politically Motivated Boycott

The boycott seems to be a politically based boycott.

Potential ICC Regulation Violation

Failure to play without a valid reason may amount to a breach of ICC tournament regulations.

Will Pakistan Escape ICC Punishment?

At this point, everything is up in the air. The final ICC decision will depend on the following:

Whether a valid reason has been given by Pakistan

Whether the boycott is considered a breach of contract

The political sensitivity of the India-Pakistan relationship

If the ICC considers this a non-security, unjustified boycott, Pakistan will face repercussions that go beyond simply losing points, which is what happened to previous teams.

At just 21, this right-handed batsman and off-spin bowler is the first graduate from the South Asian Cricket Academy (SACA) to lock in a professional contract with the club, and it’s clear why the Red Rose brass see him as a key piece moving forward.

Lancashire Signs Arav Shetty

Arav Shetty burst onto the scene during the Metro Bank One-Day Cup in August 2025, wasting no time in proving his worth across formats. In seven List A outings, he racked up 168 runs at an average of 33.6, with a top score of 40, while snaring nine wickets with his crafty off-breaks.

He even made his First-Class debut in the Rothesay County Championship against Middlesex, picking up a wicket and gaining vital red-ball experience. Throw in appearances at Vitality Blast Finals Day, and you’ve got a young talent who adapted quickly to the big stage. His Second XI numbers speak volumes too, 1,546 runs at 32 and 45 wickets at 31 across 53 matches, showing he’s no flash in the pan.

What makes this signing even more special is Shetty’s journey. A product of Lancashire’s academy, he faced setbacks after leaving at 18 for university, but fought back through SACA and Second XI grind.

Speaking on the official site, Shetty said, “I’m really happy to commit my future to Lancashire, the club I grew up representing as a junior. The support from coaches, players, and members has been terrific, and I’m excited to give everything for the club’s success.” Head coach Steven Croft echoed the hype: “Arav showed real growth last season… His all-round skills add depth to our squad, and we’re thrilled to develop him further with the Red Rose.”

Expect Arav Shetty to push for more first-team minutes right away. If his 2025 cameos are any guide, best figures of 3-34 in the One-Day Cup and that gritty debut, he’ll deliver drama and results. Lancashire members, rejoice: priority tickets for domestic games, including the big July 10 Roses showdown, are up for grabs from £35. Shetty’s arrival signals brighter days ahead. Stay tuned as the Red Rose builds for glory; you won’t want to miss this rise.

At 26, Akhter isn’t just another arm; he’s a South Asian Cricket Academy graduate who’s taken 94 wickets across formats in three seasons at Bristol, proving he’s ready for the big stage.

Essex Signs Zaman Akhter

The announcement feels like a game-changer for Essex fans who’ve watched Jamie Porter and Sam Cook rack up nearly 900 first-class wickets together. Akhter joins a seam attack that already boasts Shane Snater and new recruit Mitchell Killeen, adding that extra bite Essex craves after Doug Bracewell’s retirement. “I’m thrilled to join such a historic club with a winning culture,” Zaman Akhter told BBC Essex, eyes sparkling at the chance to learn from the veterans. “Looking at their bowlers, guys always near the wicket-takers’ charts, I’m here to soak it all up at Chelmsford and Lord’s.”

Zaman Akhter’s journey hasn’t been a straight drive. He trialled with Essex’s second XI back in 2022 but landed at Gloucestershire, delaying his first-class debut until 24 due to back troubles. Yet, he hit the ground running: 4-33 on debut against Durham in 2023, a maiden five-for (5-89) versus Yorkshire in 2024, and England Lions caps with 5-32 against Sri Lanka. “It’s exciting to add pace, game-changing moments, and some lower-order runs,” he added.

Chris Silverwood On The Joining

Chris Silverwood couldn’t hide his excitement. “We’ve tracked ‘Zum’ for a while; his quality strengthens our group perfectly,” the director of cricket said. Essex kicks off 2026 away at Hampshire on April 3, and Akhter’s arrival signals big ambitions. With his height for bounce, speed beyond the swing merchants, and handy batting, he’s the X-factor to push Essex toward titles.

Gloucestershire feels the pinch, losing another talent amid their rebuild, but Akhter’s move screams upward trajectory. From minor counties with Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire to professional circuits via SACA, the sixth grad to turn pro, he’s proof that persistence pays off. “When you’re not on staff, you hustle external help,” he reflected on his injury setbacks. “It made me understand my game better.”

After Somerset let him go last month, the 22-year-old off-spinner has agreed terms with Derbyshire for a two-year deal, set to be finalised soon. It’s a fresh start for Bashir, England’s go-to spinner who’s been without a county home since November 1, despite the ECB covering his wages as a centrally contracted player.

Shoaib Bashir’s Journey In County Cricket

Shoaib Bashir’s journey hasn’t been smooth in county cricket. He burst onto the scene with his red-ball debut for Somerset in 2023, but chances were scarce thanks to Jack Leach holding the fort. In 10 matches for the club, he grabbed just 14 wickets, with his last outing in 2024. To get game time, he went on loan last year first to Worcestershire, where he played five Blast games and one Championship match against Surrey, snaring two wickets.

Earlier this year, he linked up with Glamorgan for three games, standing in for the injured Mason Crane and picking up two more wickets in five innings. Overall, his County Championship stats show 18 wickets at an average of 84, not the fireworks we’ve seen in Tests.

Where Is Shoaib Bashir Now?

Right now, Shoaib Bashir is with England for the Ashes, but he hasn’t played in the first three Tests. This Derbyshire switch ends an odd situation where the nation’s top spinner had no county base among the 18 first-class sides. Division Two might just be the perfect playground for him to rebuild rhythm and bag wickets regularly.

Derbyshire, aiming to climb back up, get a proven international talent who’s already played 19 Tests since his 2024 India debut, claiming 68 wickets at 39. Could this spark a red-hot county resurgence? Stay tuned, 2026 could be his breakout year in counties.
